From TREP to CRISPR tech

The Association of Spanish Researchers in Sweden (ACES) organizes this open seminar by Professor Francisco Mojica University of Alicante, Spain, on the journey of the discovery of CRISPR. The seminar will summarize the main breakthroughs in CRISPR research, from the discovery of Tandem Repeats (TREPs) of DNA in archaea to the applications of CRISPR-based tools. Recent and ongoing work by the Molecular Biology Group of the University of Alicante on the evolution and characterization of CRISPR-Cas systems will also be presented.
