At the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences it has become traditional to start the Nobel week with a unique opportunity for media representatives to meet and put questions to the laureates for the prizes awarded by the Academy – Physics, Chemistry and Economic Sciences.

This year’s prizes were awarded for research about the power of quantum mechanics, how molecules can be built with click-chemistry and the role of banks for the economy. You can read more about the prizes and the laureates here on our website (see below). The laureates are: Physics, Alain Aspect, John F. Clauser and Anton Zeilinger, Chemistry: Carolyn R. Bertozzi, Morten Meldal and K. Barry Sharpless, and Economic Sciences: Ben S. Bernanke, Douglas W. Diamond and Philip H. Dybvig.
