General announcement for medical sciences

A maximum amount of SEK 100,000 can be granted to doctoral students and researchers who have completed a doctoral degree may be granted a maximum amount of SEK 300,000. Among the latter, those who have done their dissertation over the past five years are given priority. Appropriations are paid for a maximum of one year.

Scholarships are not granted for purposes that are completed by the time the decision is taken, which is about three months after the application deadline.

State the name of the head of department and confirm the application with attached documents such as invitation, doctoral student letter, supervisor certificate and / or letter of recommendation. Postgraduate students must enter the name of the supervisor. Upload all documents in PDF format.

Available funding 2019: SEK 3,033,000

Of the available funding is:

  • SEK 800,000 earmarked for Swedish, younger doctoral researchers (maximum of 3) for research in neurophysiology, preferably emotional physiology. The grant will not cover salary.
  • SEK 350,000 earmarked for scholarships for research that promote medical scientific research on the causes and treatment of primary cancer of the liver and biliary-tract, and in particular research on the complicated effects of severe disorders in the blood’s clotting ability.

The remaining available funds can be applied for general medical research. The application must clearly state in which area funds are applied.

Supplementary material submitted separately, incomplete applications and/or emailed applications will not be taken in consideration. Application documents will not be returned.

Allocation

All applicants will be notified by email if their application has been approved or rejected approximately three months after the application deadline. The information will also be available on the applicant’s web account.
