Ylva Engström new member of the board of ALLEA

Ylva Engström, a member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences, has been elected to the board of ALLEA, All European Academies. The ALLEA Board is elected biannually by the General Assembly and includes ALLEA’s Vice-Presidents and President, who chairs the Board.  

Ylva Engström is a professor at the Department of Molecular Biosciences at the Wenner-Gren Institute, Stockholm University. She has been a member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences class for biosciences since 2009.

ALLEA is the European Federation of Academies of Sciences and Humanities, representing more than 50 academies from over 40 EU and non-EU countries. Since its foundation in 1994, ALLEA speaks out on behalf of its members on the European and international stages, promotes science as a global public good, and facilitates scientific collaboration across borders and disciplines.
