At the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences, it has become traditional to start the Nobel week with a unique opportunity for media representatives to meet and put questions to the laureates of the prizes awarded by the Academy.

This year’s prizes were awarded for the discovery of macroscopic quantum mechanical tunnelling, for the development of new materials in the form of metal-organic frameworks and for showing how new technology can drive sustained growth through creative destruction. You can read more about the prizes and the laureates here on our website (physics, chemistry and economic sciences).

The laureates in Physics are: John Clarke, Michel H. Devoret and John M. Martinis. The laureates in Chemistry are: Susumu Kitagawa, Richard Robson and Omar M. Yaghi. And finally, the laureates in Economic Sciences are: Joel Mokyr, Philippe Aghion and Peter Howitt.

Please request individual interviews with laureates in the registration form. Interview time slots are limited and will be offered if available. You should also let us know if you want to reserve a space for filming with a camera on a stand during the first livestreamed part of the press conference.

Please arrive early since there will be a security check on entering which might take some time. The doors will open at 8:00 a.m. CET and registration will close at 9:15 a.m. CET.
