The dates for the autumn announcements of the Nobel Prizes in Physics and Chemistry, as well as the Prize in Economic Sciences 2024, are now confirmed by the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences. All prizes will be announced in October. Press accreditation opens in early September.
According to Alfred Nobel’s will, it is the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences that appoints the recipients of the Nobel Prizes in Physics and Chemistry. Since 1969, the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences has also appointed the recipients of the Sveriges Riksbank Prize in Economic Sciences in Memory of Alfred Nobel.
The respective laureates will be announced immediately after the decisions have been made. This will take place at three press conferences in early October at the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences in Stockholm. We will provide more information at the beginning of September.

The Nobel Prize in Physics
Date and time: Tuesday, 8 October, earliest at 11:45 CEST

The Nobel Prize in Chemistry
Date and time: Wednesday, 9 October, earliest at 11:45 CEST
Venue: Session Hall, Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences, Lilla Frescativägen 4A, Stockholm, Sweden
Registration: Valid press ID is required, and pre-registration is mandatory. The press conference is only open to journalists and photographers covering this year’s prize. Accreditation opens in September.
The Prize in Economic Sciences
Date and time: Monday, 14 October, earliest at 11:45 CEST
Venue: Session Hall, Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences, Lilla Frescativägen 4A, Stockholm, Sweden
