Stress-related illness, mental health and cognitive function – new perspectives on psychological treatment and prevention

What is the current state-of-the evidence for psychological treatments of stress-related illness and where should we go from here? This symposium will provide an overview of current research on stress-related illness and its prevention and treatment from different perspectives, with a focus on psychological health and cognitive function. The symposium will cover aspects of psychological treatment in stress-related illness, as well as how long-term stress influences cognitive function and how cognition can be addressed in treatment and at work. The symposium includes national and international experts within the field of clinical psychology who will provide an up-to-date overview of their research on stress-related illness, cognitive symptoms and psychological treatment innovation. The symposium is directed to researchers and clinicians in psychology, as well as people who work with or have a general interest in stress-related illness and its prevention and treatment.
