The Education Committee
The Education Committee is tasked with coordinating the Academy’s initiatives in the field of schools and education.
In the area of schools, the committee works to promote science-based education in the natural sciences and mathematics, and to make learning attractive, mainly targeting mathematics, the natural sciences and technology. This is primarily done through support for the development of the NTA Programme (which focuses on “science and technology for all”), by awarding teaching prizes and by participating in international groups within All European Academies (ALLEA) and the InterAcademy Partnership (IAP).
The committee is also involved in issues relating to education policy, which includes responding to reports on schools and education, and organising symposiums and conferences in this area.
