The Secretaries General of the Academy

The Secretary General is the Academy’s executive member and is responsible for the daily work and current administration according to the guidelines issued by the Academy Board. The Secretary General is head of the Academy’s Secretariat and has a special responsibility to ensure that the Academy’s funds are used accordingly. Between the years 1784–1808, the Academy had two Secretaries General with separate areas of responsibility.
