Every year, the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences awards many different kinds of Scholarships and grants. The menus to the left show the subject areas in which funding is allocated. Most Scholarships are included in the Academy’s web-based application system (see link below), while some are handled more manually.
General applications and foundations
In Astronomy and Space Sciences, Biosciences, Chemistry, Engineering Sciences, Geosciences with Geography, Humanities, Mathematics, Medical Sciences, Physics and Social Sciences, a general application is made. In addition to the funding available by means of general applications, special foundations and research exchanges are allocated in the same fields. Information about these is given in the menus concerned.
International research exchanges
In most subject areas in Natural Sciences, Scholarships and Fellowships for research periods in Japan (research exchange and Postdoctoral Fellowships) or Israel (the Müller Travel Fellowship Fund) may be applied for. More information is given in the menus concerned.
