New Perspectives on Self-Regulation

Date: 2021-10-29

Time: 13:00 - 16:30

Venue: Digital on Zoom

Organised by The Swedish National Committee for Psychological Sciences.

The symposium is free of charge and open to the public.

Self-regulation research has made great advances during the past several decades. Nevertheless, there are many controversial and unsolved issues in the field. Furthermore, new subfields are emerging. In this symposium, experts on self-regulation will review research on contested concepts such as ego depletion, discuss burgeoning topics such as desire, and propose novel perspectives such as grounded cognition, motivation, and neural representation. It will reveal recent developments in contemporary self-regulation research, which should appeal to not only researchers but also clinicians and training program developers.
