Scholarships in Geosciences, including geography, worth up to a maximum of SEK 100,000 can be granted to doctoral students and researchers. In the latter category, applicants who were awarded a PhD degree in the past five years are prioritised. Scholarships are payable for a maximum period of one year. OH (Overhead/Administration costs) will not be accepted.
In 2023 140 000 SEK of the available funds are exclusively intended for “scientific research in the field of Physical Geography, in Sweden, and preferably in the Sarek mountain region”.
Scholarships are not granted for purposes that are completed by the time the decision is taken, which is about three months after the application deadline.
Provide the name of the head of the institute/faculty, and support your application by additional documents such as invitations or letters of recommendation. Doctoral students must state their supervisors name. Upload all documents in PDF format.

Allocation
All applicants will be notified by email if their application has been approved or rejected approximately three months after the application deadline. The information will also be available on the applicant’s web account.
