The first Kavli Prize in Neuroscience awarded to Academy member Sten Grillner
Sten Grillner, Professor of physiology at the Karolinska Institutet and member of the Academy’s class for biosciences has been awarded the first Kavli Prize in Neuroscience “for discoveries on the Developmental and functional Logic of Neuronal Circuits"
He shares the prize, which amounts to USD 1000,000, with Professor Thomas Jessell, Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biophysics, Columbia University, USA and professor Pasko Rakic, Yale University School of Medicine, USA.
