Closing date for applications: 31 August 2015.
Scholarships up to a SEK 100,000 maximum will be allocated to PhD students. Postdoctoral researchers who gained their PhDs in 2007 or later will be allocated up to SEK 300,000, payable for a maximum of one year.
The institutes of The Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences can apply for a two-year grant of up to SEK 600,000 for the purpose of researcher recruitment. This grant is applied for by the director of the institute concerned. An application of this kind may be submitted every two years.
Available funds for Social sciences includes some funds for national economic purposes.
Scholarships are not granted for conferences or projects already completed when the decision is made, which takes places about three months after the application deadline.
Provide the name of the head of Department and strength the application with any supporting document such as invitation letter, certificate and / or letter of recommendation.
Rules for PhD students and researchers
A link to the application site is provided below. In the system, the user can create an account, enter personal particulars and upload the requisite annexes in electronic form. Finally, the user shall print out a form, sign it, get it attested by the head of the institute concerned and send it to the address specified on the form. Please note that you must submit the application electronically first, before you can print out the form for signing. The form must have arrived to the Academy no later than 7 days after the closing date. When the application for Social sciences is created, it will be called Social sciences14.

Finally, the user shall print out a form, get it signed by the head of the institute and send it to the address specified on the form. Please note that the application must be submitted electronically first, before it can be printed out for signing. The form must have arrived to the Academy no later than 7 days after the closing date.
Supplementary material submitted separately, incomplete applications and/or faxed or emailed applications will not be considered. Application documents will not be returned.

About three months after the application period ends, all applicants can see, through their web accounts, which applicants have been successful. During the application process, applicants can also see the progress of their applications. Only applicants who are awarded Scholarships or grants will be contacted in writing by the Academy.
